He Loves Me...He Loves Me Not...

Let's get deep for a moment and talk about relationships.

I am so baffled by the way in which this modern generation conducts themselves when it comes to matters of the heart. What Drake so emo-liciously says seems to ring so true as I have come to find that "we live in a generation of not being in love and not being together. But we sure make it feel like we're together because we're so scared to see each other with somebody else..." #deep, right? I'm so there right now. The inconsistency, the drama, the bullshit. It's like we do just enough to keep the other person in the (often title lacking, casual seeming, we're together but we're not actually together type) relationship hanging on, but we're never willing to satisfy them 100% or give them 100% of us. This generation half asses everything! Technology has ruined us. We lack the capability to build meaningful relationships. This absolutely sucks.

What has happened to LOVE? Real, true, gut wrenchingly painful yet absolutely amazing LOVE?? All I'm asking for is someone that I'm crazy about and someone who is crazy about me. When I was young I had a long lists of "must haves" that I expected of my perfect guy (handsome, tall, millions of dollars, no kids, properties in LA, NY, and Paris, a jet, astounding amounts of charm and wit...too much?)but now I find that I'm just a girl looking for a boy to LOVE and to LOVE me back.

And now snapping back to reality, I find myself newly single and on a roller coaster of emotion with an inconsistent lover who knows exactly how to give me enough...when we both know that it's never enough #lesigh. One day this will all make sense. I'll drink to that.

Long Time Coming...

My, oh my. It certainly has been a while. In the interest of revitalizing what once was 'A SLICE OF DEVIL'S PIE" please expect more frequent updates in the coming weeks, months, years...

A lot has happened. Life has sent us spiraling, but we're back and ready to attack. 2012, I must say, is going to be nothing less than "the shit". Nothing but #crewlove all day erry day.

XOXO,

Chach

STYLE HAS NO AGE REQUIREMENTS ...

"If someone doesn't like what I'm wearing, I DON'T GIVE  A SHIT!" The "young" ladies featured in this short film simply put, ROCK! They merely tell it how it is when discussing their personal style. Color, leopard, d.t.m. (dyed to match) cashmere sweaters, menswear, surrealism, Japanese kimono's, just to name a few items/ideas that inspire these seasoned women. Many of us are so afraid to be our unique selves that we stray away from what truly inspires us and fall into the ever so boring runt of dressing like everyone else.

These women are awe-inspiring with their spunky, confident attitudes and eclectic yet chic way of dress. It is a reminder that we should take pride in dressing & styling ourselves each day. As our girls noted, not only is it an exercise in creativity, it is you - creating a piece of art within yourself, ultimately making you feel amazing!

So the next time you are getting dressed, dare to be different, dare to be you! Stray away from pulling the same dull cardigan and slacks out of your closet. Mix it up with splashes of color, a marvelous hat, and/or an eclectic jewelry ensemble.

Now you heard what they said  ... "I give you permission (to dress fun). Go ahead do it, start playing." If you were respectful you'd listen to your elders ... we did ;)!

KK Takes Her Clothes Off...AGAN!

Kimmie K is at it again! So, I'm sure we all saw the episode of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" where Miss Kim K, herself, expresses how "misled" she felt about how much of her nipple was actually going to show in her (gorgeous, might we add!) spread featured in the Art Issue of W Magazine. W Magazine responds via e-mail with the below statement:
"In keeping in line with the theme of W Magazine’s November Art Issue, Kim Kardashian’s cover was conceived as an artistic collaboration with well-known artist Barbara Kruger, and was a meditation on the influence that reality TV has on contemporary culture.
The inside portfolio documented the career and power of Kim Kardashian as a work of art, using the language of artists like Jeff Koons (see Rabbit) and Gilbert & George (see The Singing Sculpture)."
Ummmmm...Does KK not realize that the only reason she is famous is due to her on screen debut going buck wild on a sex tape with her then beau, Ray J??!?! Not to mention her nude shoot for both PLAYBOY and HARPER'S BAZAAR?!?! We've seen it all before girlfriend!! You aren't hiding a DAMN thang!!

See the full spread online at W MAGAZINE.

SHE'S GOT BALLS...

...No, really...she's got balls. Transsexual model Lea T, pictured below posing nude in a past shoot for FRENCH VOGUE, has recently hit the runways and is causing quite a stir in the world of fashion. Her catwalk debut during Sao Paolo's fashion week for designer Alexandre Herchcovitch's Autumn/Winter 2011 collection was quite stunning to say the least. We must say that we are quite impressed with her admirable bravado.

The star of Givenchy's AW 2010 campaign leaves her no stranger to the world of haute couture and high fashion. We hope to see more of the Brazilian beauty as we wish her continued success. It is quite amazing to see the fashion world embrace such a rare and unique beauty. View pics of her debut at STYLEITE.COM.
